Quantify.

Transparent consultation rates, fixed project audit brackets, and explicit scoping determinants.

We operate an inquiry-only engineering practice with fixed, published fee schedules. You do not have to sit through introductory sales demonstrations to find out what our work costs. Every engagement is billed under one of three clear commercial structures:

  • Engineering Requirements Consultation: $150–250 / hour. Working sessions dedicated to functional decomposition, EARS syntax structuring, and physical tolerance specification.
  • System Requirements Consultation: $150–250 / hour. Architectural boundary modeling, Interface Control Documents (ICD), and verification cross-reference matrices.
  • Requirements Audit & Verification Review: $1,000–5,000 / project. Exhaustive evaluation of an existing specifications package to detect untraceable clauses, conflicting bounds, and delivery risks.

Work is executed directly by Maria Ivanova, consulting on requirements since 2018 with 12 completed capital project sign-offs. Scoping evaluations take 1 to 3 days.

Desk prepared for a 55-minute structured requirements consultation session
The 55-Minute Review Table
Consultation sessions run 55 minutes, focused on 1 interface boundary or 50 specification clauses. 1371 Cherokee Street, Denver.

Calculate.

What determines your exact quote and how project complexity is evaluated.

When you submit technical specifications to our Denver office, the quote is not estimated arbitrarily. Your proposal is calculated from six verified determinants:

1. Requirements Volume
Total clause count. A 50-clause module can be audited in a single $1,000 package; a 350-clause multi-tiered capital assembly approaches the $5,000 upper bracket.
2. Number of Interfaces
Subsystem boundaries, electrical buses, fluid feeds, and software APIs requiring formal Interface Control Documentation (ICD) alignment.
3. Revision Rounds
Standard audits include two structured revision passes. Programs requiring three or more cross-vendor revision gates adjust the baseline hour calculation.
4. Formal Delivery Docs
Whether your team requires formal stage-gate deliverables: verification cross-reference matrices, signed acceptance checklists, or DOORS/Jama export modules.
5. On-Site Visits
Most work is conducted from our Denver studio. If your acceptance testing requires on-site factory inspection or chamber test observation, travel days are billed at daily rates.
6. Lead Consultant Level
All core mandates are directed by Maria Ivanova. Complex multi-vendor arbitrations operate at the $250/hr tier; standard clause drafting operates at $150/hr.

Direct answers to common commercial, scheduling, and billing questions.

How our commercial engagements work in practice, how sessions are recorded, and what happens when scope expands.

How does the 55-minute consultation session work?

Each working consultation is scheduled for exactly 55 minutes, with five minutes reserved for Maria to log final verification notes and update the traceability baseline. Prior to the session, we identify one specific interface boundary or a batch of 50 requirement lines. We do not wander into philosophical discussions; we resolve the document in real time.

What does the initial 1–3 day evaluation involve?

When you share a draft specification or subcontractor interface agreement, we conduct a rapid intake assessment within one to three working days. You receive a structured breakdown showing the total clause count, ambiguity density, interface risks, and a firm fee proposal—either fixed project pricing between $1,000 and $5,000, or a recommended number of hourly sessions ($150–250/hr).

Are prices binding quotes or formal bids?

Kelvorina is an inquiry-only engineering practice. The rates published here ($150–250 / hr and $1,000–5,000 / project) reflect our confirmed commercial brackets. Specific project agreements are executed via formal engagement letter after we inspect your technical files. There is no automated cart, checkout, or instant online payment.

What happens if vendor requirements churn mid-program?

If a supplier alters physical packaging or sensor protocols after baselines are frozen, additional review hours are billed at the agreed hourly rate ($150–250/hr). Because our documentation uses bidirectional traceability matrices, identifying every impacted downstream specification takes minutes rather than weeks.
